North Carolina High School Basketball - East Mecklenburg thwarts Piedmont
December 5, 2023: Charlotte, NC 28212 The East Mecklenburg Eagles (Charlotte, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Piedmont Panthers (Monroe, NC), 50-39 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Eagles (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Ravens go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Rocky River went down by Palisades (Charlotte, NC), 48-39, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Union Academy for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Piedmont will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 54-36 non-league win over Central Academy (Monroe, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-2.
