Virginia High School Basketball - New Covenant overwhelms North Cross
December 5, 2023: Roanoke, VA 24018 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the host North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA), saw New Covenant's basketball squad wallop North Cross by a count of 52-23.
With the victory, New Covenant upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Gryphons travel to Temple Christian (Madison Heights, VA) to play the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 1-1. Temple Christian won 37-34 in their recent non-league challenge against United Christian Academy (Stanardsville, VA)
Next up, the Raiders play the The Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. North Cross will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 54-25 non-league win over Veritas School (Richmond, VA).
