The New Hope Academy Regional Tigers basketball squad (Landover Hills, MD), was nudged 47-43 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Avalon Black Knights (Wheaton, MD)

With the victory, Avalon advances its record to 2-2 on the year. The Black Knights travel to St. Andrew's Episcopal (Potomac, MD) to meet the Lions in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 10.
