Washington High School Basketball - Wahkiakum thwarts Ilwaco
December 5, 2024: Ilwaco, WA 98624 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Wahkiakum Mules (Cathlamet, WA) and the host Ilwaco Fishermen (Ilwaco, WA), observed Wahkiakum's basketball team knock off Ilwaco by a score of 51-43.
The Mules (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Willapa Valley (Menlo, WA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Willapa Valley dropped by Columbia Adventist Academy (Battle Ground, WA), 51-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Fishermen battle the Ocosta Wildcats (Westport, WA) in a 2B Pacific challenge, on Wednesday, December 11. Ilwaco will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 52-32 non-league win over Pe Ell (Pe Ell, WA).
