Kentucky High School Basketball - Marshall County overwhelms Massac County
December 5, 2024: Benton, KY 42025 The Marshall County Marshals basketball team scored 56 points and limited the visiting Massac County Patriots to 21 in the Marshals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Marshals now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Battle Ground Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Marshall County will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 64-46 league win over Franklin Road Academy (Nashville, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Massac County falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Patriots host Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL) to confront the Red Devils in a Southern Illinois River-to-River - Ohio game on Friday, December 13. The Red Devils go into the game with a record of 4-0. Murphysboro won 87-30 in their recent non-league game against Sparta (Sparta, IL)
