Texas High School Basketball - Athens victorious over Rusk
December 5, 2024: Athens, TX 75751 In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Athens Hornets basketball team scored a good 63-45 triumph over the Rusk Eagles.
The Hornets (9-5) will now prepare for their contest against Dickinson (Dickinson, TX). The Gators go into the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Dickinson topped Elkhart (Elkhart, TX), 77-20, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles confront the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Rusk will attempt to better on its 5-8 season record. The Flyers go into the contest with a 10-3 record after their 60-57 non-league win over Scurry-Rosser (Scurry, TX).
