Texas High School Basketball - Lufkin thwarts China Spring
December 5, 2024: Lufkin, TX 75901 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) and the visiting China Spring Cougars (China Spring, TX), observed Lufkin's basketball team knock off China Spring by a score of 48-38.
The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodville (Woodville, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Woodville was knocked off by Broaddus (Broaddus, TX), 65-27, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 6. China Spring will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 67-30 league win over West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX).
