Texas High School Basketball - Harlingen overwhelms Cigarroa

The Harlingen Cardinals basketball team scored 64 points and limited the host Cigarroa Toros to 37 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now possess a 15-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wagner for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Harlingen will confront a Thunderbirds team coming off a 70-33 league win over New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 11-3.

With the loss, Cigarroa falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Toros travel to Martin (Laredo, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 5A Region IV District 30 game on Tuesday, December 10. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 11-8. Martin lost 62-21 in their recent non-league game against Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX)
