Hawaii High School Basketball - Konawaena thwarts Nanakuli
December 5, 2024: Waianae, HI 96792 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Konawaena Wildcats (Kealakekua, HI) and the host Nanakuli Golden Hawks (Waianae, HI), observed Konawaena's basketball team knock off Nanakuli by a score of 46-26.
The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Clovis East (Clovis, CA). The Timberwolves come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Clovis East prevailed over Sunnyside (Fresno, CA), 61-27, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Golden Hawks battle the Pearl City Chargers (Pearl City, HI) in a Oahu I - West challenge, on Friday, December 13. Nanakuli will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Chargers come into the challenge with a 1-6 record after their 46-23 non-league loss to Mid-Pacific Institute (Honolulu, HI).
