Virginia High School Basketball - Powhatan holds off Spotsylvania
December 5, 2024: Powhatan, VA 23139 The Powhatan Indians basketball team scored 38 points and limited the visiting Spotsylvania Knights to 33 in the Indians non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Indians now possess a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Prince George for a non-league game on Monday, December 9. Powhatan will confront a Royals team coming off a 45-12 non-league loss to Thomas Dale (Chester, VA). The Royals record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Spotsylvania falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights host Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA) to confront the Chargers in a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. The Chargers go into the game with a record of 0-1. Chancellor lost 58-29 in their recent non-league game against Atlee (Mechanicsville, VA)
