New Mexico High School Basketball - Austin holds off Santa Teresa
December 5, 2025: Santa Teresa, NM 88021 The Austin Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Santa Teresa Desert Warriors to 48 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.
Next, the Panthers clash with the Mountain View Lobos (El Paso, TX) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 6. Austin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Lobos enter the outing with a 4-4 record after their 58-32 non-league win over Tornillo (Tornillo, TX).
The Desert Warriors (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM). The Bears enter the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Hatch Valley was nipped by Cliff (Cliff, NM), 65-37, in a non-league outing.
