In Friday's non-league contest, the host Cresset Christian Academy Eagles basketball team scored a big 71-47 triumph over the Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes.

The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their match against R.J. Reynolds (Winston-Salem, NC). The Demons enter the non-league match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, R.J. Reynolds was overwhelmed by Mount Tabor (Winston-Salem, NC), 74-59, in a non-league match.

The Hurricanes now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Topsail for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. Cape Fear Academy will face a Pirates squad coming off a 55-53 non-league loss to Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 2-4.
