Washington High School Basketball - Chewelah knocks off Northport
December 5, 2025: Chewelah, WA 99109 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Chewelah Cougars (Chewelah, WA) and the visiting Northport Mustangs (Northport, WA), observed Chewelah's basketball team overcome Northport by a margin of 73-63.
The Cougars (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Inchelium (Inchelium, WA). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last match, Inchelium thwarted Lake Roosevelt (Coulee Dam, WA), 19-12, in a non-league match.
The Mustangs now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mary Walker for a non-league match on Saturday, December 6. Northport will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 73-33 league win over Curlew (Curlew, WA). The Chargers record now stands at 1-0.
