Texas High School Basketball - Coldspring-Oakhurst bests Little Cypress-Mauriceville
December 5, 2025: Orange, TX 77632 The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans basketball team scored 61 points and limited the host Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears to 41 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Trojans now possess a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Shepherd for a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. Coldspring-Oakhurst will play a Pirates team coming off a 61-42 non-league loss to Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 0-8.
The Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their test against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs come into the non-league test with a 5-1 record. In their last test, Nederland overcame Bridge City (Bridge City, TX), 51-50, in a non-league test.
