In Friday's non-league contest, the host Lamar Thunder basketball team scored a close 55-49 win over the Dumas Demons.

The Thunder (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against University (Greeley, CO). The Bulldogs come into the non-league match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, University got by Centauri (La Jara, CO), 65-39, in a non-league match.

The Demons now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Centauri for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 6.
