In Friday's non-league contest, the host Gilroy Mustangs basketball team scored a close 67-60 win over the Soledad Aztecs.

The Mustangs (2-1) will now prepare for their match against San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league match with a 5-1 record.
