The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Lanier Voks (San Antonio, TX) and the host Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX), observed Lanier's basketball team overcome Pioneer by a score of 60-42.

The Voks (8-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bellaire (Bellaire, TX). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Bellaire thwarted Carroll (Corpus Christi, TX), 64-60, in a non-league battle.

The Diamondbacks now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Edinburg for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. Pioneer will meet a Bobcats squad coming off a 56-40 non-league loss to Edinburg North (Edinburg, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-5.
