California High School Basketball - Placer holds off University Prep
December 5, 2025: Auburn, CA 95603 The Placer Hillmen basketball team scored 58 points and limited the visiting University Prep Panthers to 52 in the Hillmen non-league win on Friday.
Next, the Hillmen clash with the Weed Cougars (Weed, CA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, December 6. Placer will attempt to upgrade on its 4-0 season record. The Cougars come into the outing with a 2-0 record after their 55-50 non-league win over Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA).
The Panthers (1-1) will now prepare for their outing against River Valley (Yuba City, CA). The Falcons come into the non-league outing with a 1-2 record. In their last outing, River Valley held off Enterprise (Redding, CA), 61-57, in a non-league outing.
