In Friday's non-league contest, the host Taft Raiders basketball team scored a close 71-67 triumph over the Plainview Bulldogs.

The Raiders (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Canutillo (Canutillo, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league match with a 2-6 record. In their last match, Canutillo was nudged by Estacado (Lubbock, TX), 54-46, in a non-league match.

The Bulldogs now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Snyder for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. Plainview will face a Tigers squad coming off a 52-45 non-league loss to Hawley (Hawley, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-7.
