In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Montgomery Bears basketball team scored a close 56-50 win over the Bridgeland Bears.

The Bears (8-3) will now prepare for their contest against Grand Oaks (Spring, TX). The Grizzlies come into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Grand Oaks edged The Woodlands (The Woodlands, TX), 53-45, in a league contest.
