December 5, 2025: Denver City, TX 79323 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) and the host Denver City Mustangs (Denver City, TX), witnessed Estacado's basketball squad prevail over Denver City by a count of 46-30.
With the victory, Estacado advances its record to 4-8 on the year. The Matadors travel to Levelland (Levelland, TX) to battle the Lobos in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 6. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 9-3. Levelland won 59-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX)
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Crane Cranes (Crane, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, December 9. Denver City will attempt to improve on its 11-3 season record. The Cranes come into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 38-24 non-league loss to Sands (Ackerly, TX).
