December 5, 2025: Schenectady, NY 12304 Galway Golden Eagles (Galway, NY) backers went home thrilled Friday as they saw their basketball team smash the host Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights (Schenectady, NY), 52-31 in a league contest.
The Golden Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Cobleskill-Richmondville (Cobleskill, NY). The Bulldogs go into the Section 2 Western contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Cobleskill-Richmondville smashed Fonda-Fultonville (Fonda, NY), 47-29, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Golden Knights battle the Mayfield Panthers (Mayfield, NY) in a Section 2 Western match, on Monday, December 15. Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
