Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Monte Vista Mustangs (Danville, CA) and the visiting Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA), observed Monte Vista's basketball team knock off Northgate by a score of 53-44.

The Mustangs (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Pleasant Valley (Chico, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Pleasant Valley dropped by James Logan (Union City, CA), 59-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Broncos meet the Freedom Falcons (Oakley, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, December 6. Northgate will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 60-22 non-league loss to Miramonte (Orinda, CA).
