Texas High School Basketball - Schulenburg bested by Yorktown
December 5, 2025: Schulenburg, TX 78956 Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Schulenburg Shorthorns (Schulenburg, TX), 53-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Yorktown advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Wildcats travel to St. Paul (Shiner, TX) to battle the Cardinals in a non-league contest on Saturday, December 6. The Cardinals come into the contest with a record of 4-3. St. Paul lost 46-31 in their recent non-league contest against Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX)
The Shorthorns now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Flatonia for a 2A Region IV District 28 match on Tuesday, December 9. Schulenburg will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 55-47 non-league loss to Antonian Prep (San Antonio, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-1.
