The Circle Thunderbirds basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Independence Bulldogs to 44 in the Thunderbirds non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Thunderbirds now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parsons for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Circle will battle a Vikings team coming off a 66-57 non-league loss to Collegiate (Wichita, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 0-2.

The Bulldogs (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Mulvane (Mulvane, KS). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Mulvane was defeated by Labette County (Altamont, KS), 62-46, in a non-league contest.
