Wisconsin High School Basketball - Columbus can't hold off Monona Grove
December 6, 2022: Columbus, WI 53925 The Monona Grove Silver Eagles basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Columbus Cardinals to 70 in the Silver Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Silver Eagles now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oregon for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Monona Grove will battle a Panthers team coming off a 72-56 non-league win over Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
The Cardinals (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against South Milwaukee (South Milwaukee, WI). The Rockets enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, South Milwaukee nudged Milwaukee Lutheran (Milwaukee, WI), 74-69, in a league contest.
