The Salinas Cowboys basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Gilroy Mustangs to 31 in the Cowboys non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cowboys now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whitney for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Salinas will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 63-35 non-league win over Roseville (Roseville, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-2.

The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Anzar (San Juan Bautista, CA). The Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 0-0 record.
