Michigan High School Basketball - Merritt Academy thwarts International Academy
December 6, 2022: New Haven, MI 48048 The Merritt Academy Mustangs (New Haven, MI) basketball knocked off the visiting International Academy Phoenix (Flint, MI), 42-32 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Mustangs (3-0) will now prepare for their test against Austin Catholic (Chesterfield, MI). The Crusaders go into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Austin Catholic went down by New Life Christian Academy (Kimball, MI), 63-45, in a non-league test.
The Phoenix now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Atherton for a Genesee Area - Red test on Friday, December 9. International Academy will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 66-34 non-league win over Capac (Capac, MI). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-0.
