North Carolina High School Basketball - Marvin Ridge can't hold off Providence
December 6, 2022: Charlotte, NC 28270 The Providence Panthers basketball team scored 33 points and restricted the visiting Marvin Ridge Mavericks to 29 in the Panthers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Charlotte Catholic for a non-league contest on Friday, December 9. Providence will battle a Cougars team coming off a 39-38 non-league win over Charlotte Country Day School (Charlotte, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 4-0.
The Mavericks (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Indian Land was nudged by Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC), 40-23, in a non-league contest.
