Florida High School Basketball - Plantation overwhelmed by Piper
December 6, 2022: Plantation, FL 33313 The Plantation Colonels basketball team (Plantation, FL), was routed 78-16 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Piper Bengals (Sunrise, FL)
The Bengals now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nova for a non-league battle on Friday, December 9. Piper will battle a Titans team coming off a 56-51 non-league win over Fort Lauderdale (Fort Lauderdale, FL). The Titans record now stands at 1-1.
The Colonels (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Broward (Pembroke Pines, FL). The Bobcats come into the battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, West Broward trounced Cooper City (Cooper City, FL), 52-30, in a league battle.
First Quarter
Piper came out with suffocating defense as they score a season high in the first quarter with 38 points. Sophomore PG Brandon Watson was very aggressive from start to finish on both end of the floor. Piper Defense was too much for Plantation to handle.
Second Quarter
Sophomore PG Brandon Watson continued his outstanding performance as he added more points to his total.
Third Quarter
Contribution from a plethora of players allowed Piper to expand their lead to a larger deficit.
Fourth Quarter
Piper scoring slowed downed as they emptied their bench to end the night for their starters.
