In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Bayside Marlins (Virginia Beach, VA) basketball squad edged the host Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA), by a count of 80-77.

The Marlins (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA). The Eagles go into the Beach outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, Landstown held off Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA), 66-49, in a league outing.

The Spartans now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Spirit HomeSchool for a non-league outing on Monday, December 11.
