New York High School Basketball - Roosevelt holds off Goshen Central
December 6, 2023: Goshen, NY 10924 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Roosevelt Presidents (Hyde Park, NY) and the host Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY), saw Roosevelt's basketball squad hold off Goshen Central by a tally of 48-45.
With the victory, Roosevelt improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Presidents host Wallkill (Wallkill, NY) to confront the Panthers in a Section 9 Mid Hudson I challenge on Tuesday, December 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Wallkill lost 53-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Chapel Field Christian (Pine Bush, NY)
Next up, the Gladiators confront the Monticello Panthers (Monticello, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge, on Tuesday, December 12. Goshen Central will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 81-53 non-league win over Port Jervis (Port Jervis, NY).
