December 6, 2023: Memphis, TN 38117 Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix (Memphis, TN) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Overton Wolverines (Memphis, TN), 60-57 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering upgrades its record to 2-2 on the season. The Phoenix travel to Soulsville (Memphis, TN) to play the Revolution in a 1A District 15 bout on Friday, December 8. The Revolution go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Soulsville lost 64-24 in their recent non-league bout against St. George's (Collierville, TN)
Next up, the Wolverines play the Craigmont Chiefs (Memphis, TN) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Overton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 98-77 non-league loss to Hillcrest (Memphis, TN).
