Virginia High School Basketball - Oakton fells Yorktown
December 6, 2023: Arlington, VA 22207 Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA), 64-52 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Oakton upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cougars travel to Lewis (Springfield, VA) to play the Lancers in a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 12. The Lancers come into the contest with a record of 2-0. Lewis won 54-49 in their recent non-league contest against Falls Church (Falls Church, VA)
The Patriots (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Potomac Senior (Dumfries, VA). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Potomac Senior prevailed over Stafford (Falmouth, VA), 60-25, in a league contest.
