Arkansas High School Basketball - Ozark can't hold off Acorn
December 6, 2023: Mena, AR 71953 The Acorn Tigers basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Ozark Hillbillies to 30 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Tigers now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Foreman for a 2A Region 7 contest on Friday, December 8. Acorn will battle a Gator Arkansas team coming off a 68-51 league loss to Dierks (Dierks, AR). The Gator Arkansas record now stands at 2-7.
The Hillbillies (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Waldron (Waldron, AR). The Bulldogs enter the 4A Region 4 contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Waldron was nudged by Clarksville (Clarksville, AR), 66-34, in a league contest.
