Valley Vikings (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Sandia Matadors (Albuquerque, NM), 38-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Vikings host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Matadors play the Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Las Cruces, NM) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 9. Sandia will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
