December 6, 2024: Alburnett, IA 52202 In Friday's league contest, the host Alburnett Pirates basketball team scored a good 49-31 triumph over the Maquoketa Valley Wildcats.
The Pirates (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Linn (Troy Mills, IA). The Lynx go into the Tri-Rivers contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, North Linn topped Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA), 84-48, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Clayton-Ridge Eagles (Guttenburg, IA) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 9. Maquoketa Valley will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 64-35 league loss to MFL MarMac (Monona, IA).
