Arkansas High School Basketball - Monticello overwhelms Ashdown
December 6, 2024: Monticello, AR 71655 The Monticello Billies basketball team scored 72 points and limited the visiting Ashdown Panthers to 22 in the Billies non-league triumph on Friday.
The Billies now have a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Arkadelphia for a non-league game on Saturday, December 7. Monticello will confront a Badgers team coming off a 53-40 non-league win over Dumas (Dumas, AR). The Badgers record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Ashdown falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Hope (Hope, AR) to confront the Bobcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Bobcats go into the game with a record of 2-0. Hope won 55-43 in their recent non-league game against Arkansas (Texarkana, AR)
