In Friday's non-league contest, the host Brentwood Spartans basketball team scored a good 57-45 win over the Freedom Area Bulldogs.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Carlynton (Carnegie, PA). The Cougars come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Carlynton dropped by Eden Christian Academy (Pittsburgh, PA), 58-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Geibel Catholic Gators (Connellsville, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Freedom Area will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
