In Friday's non-league contest, the host Canyon Hills Rattlers basketball team scored a close 58-53 triumph over the Granite Hills Eagles.

The Rattlers (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Clairemont (San Diego, CA). The Chieftains go into the Central contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Clairemont nipped Mission Vista (Oceanside, CA), 64-53, in a non-league contest.
