In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Denham Springs Yellowjackets basketball team scored a close 71-66 triumph over the Ponchatoula Green Wave.

The Yellowjackets (7-0) will now prepare for their contest against Prairieville (Prairieville, LA). The Hurricanes go into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Prairieville nipped Maurepas (Maurepas, LA), 59-53, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Green Wave battle the St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Ponchatoula will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record.
