The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) and the host Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX), observed Mexia's basketball team edge Lorena by a score of 45-40.

The Black Cats (6-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Connally (Waco, TX). The Cadets come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Connally was tipped by Joshua (Joshua, TX), 50-42, in a non-league challenge.
