California High School Basketball - Marina thwarts South
December 6, 2024: Huntington Beach, CA 92649 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Marina Vikings (Huntington Beach, CA) and the visiting South Spartans (Torrance, CA), observed Marina's basketball team knock off South by a score of 76-64.
The Vikings (6-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Loyola (Los Angeles, CA). The Cubs come into the non-league challenge with a 7-0 record. In their last challenge, Loyola prevailed over Downey (Downey, CA), 69-54, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Spartans encounter the Los Altos Conquerors (Hacienda Heights, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 7. South will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Conquerors come into the challenge with a 5-1 record after their 64-59 non-league win over Los Amigos (Fountain Valley, CA).
