Pollok Central Bulldogs (Pollok, TX) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), 58-56 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Pollok Central advances its record to 8-4 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Corsicana (Corsicana, TX) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Friday, December 6. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 3-4. Corsicana lost 66-51 in their recent non-league match against Temple (Temple, TX)

The Mavericks now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hallsville for a 5A Region II District 10 match on Tuesday, December 10. Marshall will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Liberty (Frisco, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 9-5.
