In Friday's non-league test, the Melrose Buffaloes (Melrose, NM) basketball squad trounced the visiting Mountainair Mustangs (Mountainair, NM), by a score of 60-20.

Next, the Buffaloes encounter the Tatum Coyotes (Tatum, NM) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 7. Melrose will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Coyotes come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 67-28 non-league win over Quemado (Quemado, NM).
