December 6, 2025: Basalt, CO 81621 Grand Valley Cardinals (Parachute, CO) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Basalt Longhorns (Basalt, CO), 49-34 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Grand Valley betters its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Olathe (Olathe, CO) to confront the Pirates in a 3A Western Slope contest on Friday, December 12. The Pirates go into the contest with a record of 2-1.
In their next game, the Longhorns confront the Forge Christian Fury (Arvada, CO) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 11. Basalt will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Fury enter the outing with a 3-0 record after their 52-46 non-league win over Fort Morgan (Fort Morgan, CO).
