Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Bastrop Bears (Bastrop, TX), 57-50 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Brazos upgrades its record to 5-4 on the year. The Cougars host Somerville (Somerville, TX) to confront the Yeguas in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 9. The Yeguas go into the game with a record of 3-4. Somerville won 43-35 in their recent non-league game against Flatonia (Flatonia, TX)
