The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) basketball were winner over the host Kashmere Fighting Rams (Houston, TX), 57-48 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Hawks now possess a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Silsbee for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. Hardin-Jefferson will play a Tigers team coming off a 83-54 non-league loss to West Brook (Beaumont, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Kashmere falls to 1-7 on the campaign. The Fighting rams host Yates (Houston, TX) to encounter the Lions in a 4A Region III District 20 test on Monday, December 8.
