The Hawkins Hawks basketball squad (Hawkins, TX), was nudged 70-65 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Sabine Pass Sharks (Sabine Pass, TX)

With the victory, Sabine Pass advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Sharks travel to Shepherd (Shepherd, TX) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Thursday, December 11. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 2-10.

The Hawks now own a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Hopkins for a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. Hawkins will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 60-30 non-league win over Varsity Opponent (, ). The Panthers record now stands at 9-2.
