The Santa Maria Saints basketball squad (Santa Maria, CA), was nudged 66-61 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Hilmar Yellowjackets (Hilmar, CA)

With the victory, Hilmar advances its record to 5-2 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Patterson (Patterson, CA) to meet the Tigers in a non-league battle on Tuesday, December 9. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 3-1. Patterson won 50-40 in their recent non-league battle against Ripon (Ripon, CA)

The Saints now own a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Paso Robles for a Ocean challenge on Tuesday, December 9. Santa Maria will battle a Bearcats team coming off a 59-51 non-league loss to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-4.
